I love the natural world in all its everyday forms — a day hike, a wander through botanical gardens, an evening walk with my dogs. Nature gives me a sense of peace I can't quite get anywhere else, and it's where my best ideas show up: the scents, the sounds, the light changing as the day winds down.

Back by Sunset started as a way to hold onto that feeling — to bottle a little bit of "outside" and carry it with me even on the days I can't get there. Every design starts with something I noticed on a walk, a hike, or a quiet moment outdoors, and turns it into something you can wear.

I believe being outside should be easy, not exclusive. You don't have to be a hardcore hiker or own the right gear to belong here. We can start where we are, with what we have — and that's more than enough.

This studio is my way of encouraging you to:

• Take time to care for yourself
• Get outside in whatever way feels good to you
• Feel a little more connected to the world around you
